Registration for all other Crankworx Whistler 2020 events will open on May 7th, 2020 at 10:00am PDT. A link to register will be posted before registration opens.
Riders must register in the same category for all events (there is not an option to register in Pro for one event and Amateur for another). Exception applies for those registering in the Junior Expert category for Canadian Open DH/Canada Cup.
Registration will not be offered onsite – only a check-in desk for pre-registered competitors.

RACE CATEGORY ELIGIBILITY
Race Category Eligibility (age and gender) for all Crankworx events will be determined by the athletes Cycling Canada or UCI license. For athletes who do not possess a Cycling Canada or UCI license, and do not require one for any of the races in which they are entered, Race Category Eligibility (age and gender) will be determined by the athletes birth certificate or passport. Athletes may be required to provide evidence at the point of athlete registration or accreditation (at the discretion of the Athlete Manager or Event Director).
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO ENTER?
Minimum age for the Air DH, Garbanzo DH, Bell Helmets EWS80 Enduro and 100% Dual Slalom is 13 (year of birth 2007)
Minimum age for Canadian Open DH presented by iXS / Canada Cup is 13 (year of birth 2007) as well, however qualification standards must be met before registering in the Youth Men 13-14 and Youth Women 13-14 categories. Email email@example.com for details.
Minimum age for the CamelBak Canadian Open Enduro presented by Specialized (EWS / EWS100) is 17 (year of birth 2003).

DO I NEED A LICENCE?
Competitors registered in the Elite and Junior Expert categories for the Canadian Open DH presented by iXS / Canada Cup will need to have an international UCI license issued by their national federation. Only Elite and Junior Expert UCI license holders can register in the Elite and Junior Expert categories. Unlicensed riders can sign up in the Amateur age classes.
UCI and Canada Cup points are available for Elite Men/Women, Junior Expert Men/Women.
UCI Race licenses are not required for the Air DH, Garbanzo DH or 100% Dual Slalom.
EWS racers in the CamelBak Canadian Open Enduro presented by Specialized will need a UCI license issued by their own national federation. EWS racers in the the CamelBak Canadian Open Enduro presented by Specialized will also need a 2020 EWS Membership.
Race licenses are not required for racers in the EWS100 group of the CamelBak Canadian Open Enduro presented by Specialized or in the Bell Helmets EWS80.
EWS memberships are optional for EWS100 and EWS80 racers – but only riders with a membership will be eligible to collect EWS Global Ranking points.
DO I HAVE TO BE A PRO?
Both pro and amateur categories are offered for the Air DH, Garbanzo DH, Canadian Open DH presented by iXS and 100% Dual Slalom. Athletes can select to register either as an amateur (Youth, Junior, Senior, Master, or Veteran) or a Pro (no age classes).

DO I NEED A LIFT TICKET?
Air DH, Garbanzo DH, Canadian Open DH presented by iXS, Bell Helments EWS80 Enduro and CamelBak Canadian Open Enduro presented by Specialized all require a lift ticket or pass to access the Whistler Mountain Bike Park. Whistler Mountain Bike Park tickets/passes are not included in the registration/entry fees.
Discounted lift tickets will be available in the Athlete Centre for race and training days. Must be purchased at the Aava at the same time that racers collect their race plate.

DO RACERS GET LIFT LINE PRIORITY?
Racers registered in the Air DH, Garbanzo DH, and Canadian Open DH will have priority loading on the Fitzsimmons Chair on race day.
HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT TIME I’LL BE RACING?
Event times are posted on the event schedule. The start list will be posted online the evening prior to the event. Copies will also be posted in the Athlete Centre on the morning of the race.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR A FULL FACE HELMET?
Full-face helmets are required for all Crankworx events (Downhills, Dual Slalom, Enduros, Whip-off, Dual Speed & Style, Pumptrack and Slopestyle).

Travel, medical and liability insurance is recommended when travelling and competing at any Crankworx World Tour events. Insurance coverage is not provided by Crankworx Whistler.
All competitors must complete an Event Waiver/Release of Liability.
If you are 18 years or younger, you will need for a parent or legal guardian to complete your Waiver. Minors who will be traveling unaccompanied to the event will need to make advance arrangements to complete the Waiver. Email email@example.com
Parents, teammates, friends, … that want to collect the race plates on behalf of another racer can download the Waiver and (if applicable) Foreign Rider Insurance Acknowledgment and bring the completed document(s) to the Athlete Centre.

Race plates cannot be issued unless there is a properly completed Waiver.

I acknowledge that drones may be used in capturing these images and accept that they may be flying above me.
